Kit has extensive knowledge and experience in the industry, including the strategic selling of multi-million-dollar projects. He has held positions of CEO, President, and CFO of both privately and publicly held companies. In his prior positions he has been responsible for mergers and acquisitions and obtaining financing, among other things, including a public offering, through venture capitalists and strategic partners. Kit oversaw negotiations to acquire a multinational company headquartered in New Zealand and says, “As a part of that process, I learned more about them than they knew about themselves and was able to negotiate a very attractive deal.” He brings a unique combination of strategic, operational, financial, and technical skills to the table, including international experience in Japan, the United Kingdom, Europe, Mexico, and Australia.
Kit has Bachelor of Arts and Master of Electrical Engineering degrees from Rice University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He spent twelve years as a city council member in West Lake Hills, Texas and has taught several undergraduate and MBA courses on mergers and acquisitions, finance, and entrepreneurship at the University of Texas in Austin. He features “been there, done that” expertise for companies valued up to $500 million in revenue. “What I like most about this process is you get to meet with, and work with interesting people to create something using what sometimes can be a difficult process,” he says, “I like working on complex problems with people.” His peers consider him highly skilled in start-ups, mergers and acquisitions, and strategy.
Kit is a member of the International Business Broker Association, and a Certified Business Broker by the North American Alliance of Business Brokers.
