Kathryn Albarado is a seasoned generational business owner with over twenty-two years of experience navigating the ups and downs of running a family business. Throughout her journey, she discovered the key to unlocking the balance between managing a business and leading a fulfilling personal life.

After graduating from college, Kathryn jumped right into the family business, eager to impress her father and everyone around her. But she soon realized that balancing her roles as wife, daughter, sister, friend, and a key figure in the business was a daunting challenge. Her father, determined to prepare her for the future, pushed her to her physical and emotional limits every day, teaching her to turn off her emotions and never accept failure as an option.

When her father fell ill, the “changing of the guard” took place out of necessity, adding to Kathryn’s already mounting pressure of balancing the business and taking care of the family. At the age of thirty-two, she lost her father, leaving Kathryn to carry on the legacy of the business and the family. As she struggled with grief, she also reflected on finding her identity beyond being Albert Dagar’s daughter. Over the next ten years, she found her identity and balance between the business and her personal life.

In 2022, Kathryn sold the catering business and discovered her new passion for encouraging generational business owners to reimagine their future and well-being by finding balance and purpose in their daily lives. Her passion to encourage business owners led her to a fork in the road. She decided not to choose one path but to pursue both by becoming a certified life coach through the International Association of Professional Recovery Coaches and working with Lion Business Advisors as an M&A Advisor.
